Holly the Eco Warrior

"And after that ... can you plant a new tree?" (p. 54)

     The main character of thiss book is Holly who wants to preserve nature. One day, she leaves her home and stays at the tree house that is her favorite place because she wants to protect the tree from cutting by her father. Her family persuade her to come back home, but she does not change her mind. Then, many friends come Holly's house and stay to protect the tree. However, they go back home because of their special holidays, so Holly is alone. The next day, it starts raining and thunders. She hit the ground because a branch of the tree house breaks by the thunder. After that, she finds that the tree is very old and has a disease, so she decides to cut it. However, her father suggests that she plants a new tree. She was very surprised and her family learn the importance of trees.



     I learn the importance nature for us to live comfortable. Today, we cut down a lot of trees to build houses and take action that make a contribution to grobal warming, so I think that we should look back on our lives. Also, I think that Holly is a great person because there is nobody who acts like her around me. If there are a lot of people who think about nature at all time like her, grobal warming will solve.
