SURPRISES

Sudden Storm.

The rain comes in sheets
Sweeping the streets,
Here, here, and here,
Umbrellas appear,
Red, blue, yellow, green,
They tilt and they lean
Like mushrooms, like flowers
That grow when it showers.

Today I read SURPRISES, a book in the An I Can Read Book series.
The poems selected by Lee Bennett Hopkins.

The poem of the above is written by Elizabeth Coatsworth.
It is fit this season.
I think that we may be able to enjoy rainy days.
